This Earth day, we all realized what our greatest challenge was. Our greatest challenge today is climate change, but this challenge challenges others to rethink new options for transitioning into a green economy.
The Bahamas is taking action by advancing its climate and energy policy, encouraging energy efficiency, and encouraging renewable energy. The Bahamas are venturing toward the application of waste-to-energy technology in New Providence and in exploring demonstration projects for more renewable energy projects.
I'm glad that the different countries are stepping up to contribute to our Earth. When certain countries stick up for our planet, many other countries will do the same or try to even more in pure competition. This competition that is between the countries could save our planet and make it a better place for all. Everyday we polute our airs and waters, but if we watch what we do, or develope better habits our world will be a much better place.
